About the Artwork
“Sudden Moments” is a body of work shaped at the boundary between lived experience, emotional response, and visual language. These works emerge from moments that arrive uninvited—moments that seem transient and quiet, yet in the artist’s gaze ignite into sparks of creativity. What gives this collection its distinct identity is the organic connection between the artist’s instantaneous emotional state and the poems selected for the creation of each piece. These poems function not merely as text or external inspiration, but as extensions of the artist’s own emotional current words and images rising as though from a shared, inner source. At times, the poems carry deeply personal themes: memory, longing, loss, or the desire for release. At other times, they turn toward collective experience and the ongoing flow of life moments from everyday existence where individuality intertwines with the outer world. This diversity of themes gives the collection layered and dynamic meanings. Aesthetically, the works oscillate between control and immediacy. In this series, Amirhossein Sharifan allows the moment itself to determine the path, while his visual sensitivity guides the structure. The result is imagery that is neither fully pre planned nor surrendered to randomness, but formed through a kind of harmony between consciousness and the subconscious. “Sudden Moments” invites us to pause and look more closely at subtleties we often pass by unnoticed. It reveals how sudden, fleeting moments if observed with care can become poetic articulations along the path of life; places where image, poetry, and emotion converge into a single point of resonance.
