The Not-So-Simple Presence of Women
The entry of women into the Iranian press, as in any other sphere of social life throughout Iran’s history, was by no means simple, nor did it begin at a single point or with a single name. The presence and efforts of women at different stages in the history of the press contributed to this emergence and its continuity. Women’s concern with raising awareness about the challenges and issues affecting them marked the beginning of their independent presence in the press.
