I am armed
About the Artwork
A woman who is armed, but her weapon is a tree, has not come for war, but for peace and to change rotten thoughts. Waiting for Godo This series inspiration from The novel 'Waiting for Godot' by Samuel Beckett, where the characters remain stuck in a cycle of hesitation and fear, unable to move forward, retreating with every small step. In contrast, the characters in my paintings have broken free from this paralysis . They have not only taken the step of civil disobedience but have also transcended it, carving a path of transformation and resilience. These characters are born from the ashes of personal upheavals—lost love , displacement , or shattered livelihoods—emerging as entirely new beings . Horses and birds serve as metaphors for women : the horse as a bold, avant-garde messenger, embodying power and revolution , and the bird as a delicate yet relentless symbol of migration and freedom. Through their journeys , these figures embody the tension between the weight of oppression and the courage to rise above it . They no longer wait; they challenge dictatorships, sparking revolutions or igniting deep reflections within humanity. It is a story of passion , rebellion , and the power of disruption —an exploration of the restlessness that shatters comfort but yields a profound and fulfilling result. The outcome of their disobedience is not chaos but transformation, not despair but a new, resonant clarity
