Biography

. I avoid the narrative because it lies in the subject itself. People themselves are the sediment of events in their lives:a history full of efforts to advance and retreat, defeats and triumphs.

Bodies that strive to go beyond their conditions, but always face obstacles that repel them and draw them back. And these efforts and obstacles sit on their bodies like the geological layers. Human wounds, anxieties, hopes and joys sit on the layer by layer of that face and body.

Description

The inevitable step for the Enlightenment human being was representing things and in this process drawing objects back was unavoidable event. As we see, the image in the representation process is created behind the canvas which acts like a window that opens to the world. Similarly, power tries to subjugate the human beings , so that it can represent them and overcome their bodies. But there is a trait in the human body that is present in the approach. This progressive approach tries to disrupt the equations of power, not to be an entity that remains an object to be represented, but an entity or subject that tries to recreate itself . It is always trying to refuse to be receded back and trying be renewed. This trait is also evident in the contrast between the death and the death thinking of the Enlightenment human being. The human who is reluctant to come forward in challenge to advance and manifest his or her existence.

Ali Pirooz's paintings are the manifestations of the history of the human authority to overcome problems and obstacles.
